Packing List for Egypt

  • Put All One World luggage tags on all luggage pieces. Ruth will have more if you need them.
  • Put your name, address & telephone inside the tag and also inside each luggage piece.
  • Place the All One World luggage straps on your checked bags.
  • Give a copy of the keys to your luggage to your traveling companion. Do not lock your luggage when you check in at the airport.
  • Read over the Baggage Tips from Egypt Air.
  • Read the present luggage regulations for Egypt Air because all flights within Egypt will be with this airline.  Note: baggage allowance for flights within Egypt is only 1 checked bag (max wt. = 23 kg/50 lbs).
  • Carry-on Regulations for those traveling to/from/within the USA - 3-1-1 policy.
Please bring:
  • your passport & airline tickets
  • money holder to wear under your clothes
  • money (at least $400 for spending money)
  • copy of photo page of your passport
  • tour itinerary
  • Ruth’s cell/mobile phone numbers
  • watch or other timepiece
  • knapsack, fanny pack, travel vest or shoulder bag
  • sun hat
  • sunglasses
  • spare pair, or old pair, of glasses (if you wear them)
  • light jacket or windbreaker
  • warm sweater or sweatshirt
  • shirts/tops, at least one long sleeved
  • pants and/or (longer) skirts
  • underwear
  • socks
  • one nicer outfit for dinner at hotels or on cruise boat
  • walking shoes or light hiking boots
  • sandals or lightweight shoes
  • bathing suit
  • toiletries: toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, sunscreen, lip protection, contact lens solution, women's' products, shaving things, comb, etc.
  • medicines: any medications you are taking, plus whatever you like to use for colds, upset stomach, headache, motion sickness and tired muscles
  • ointment for dry nostrils, like Vaseline
  • vitamins, supplements
  • snacks and treats
Other things you will probably want to have along:
  • $1 bills are helpful when traveling
  • credit card / ATM card
  • water bottle(s), or some way to carry water with you, the size that fits in your bag
  • charger for your camera & cell phone
  • plug adapter for 220 outlets (same as European)
  • camera
  • extra memory for your camera
  • camera batteries / charger with adapter
  • flashlight and batteries
  • travel clock
  • neck pillow for plane
  • small packs of Kleenex
  • bug repellent

Other helpful items:

  • ear plugs
  • addresses of people to send postcards to
  • moist towelettes
  • slippers
  • washcloths
  • notebook and pen/pencil, journal
  • binoculars
  • digital/tape recorder
  • pens to give the kids (ballpoint, not felt)
  • zip-lock bags
  • plastic containers, bubble wrap for packing souvenirs
